How often you use gas
Occasional users may prefer a smaller bottle, while frequent use may make a larger available size more practical.
C, D, E & G bottles
Gas cylinder size guide.
A practical visual comparison of the bottle codes used throughout the current Rent Free Gas Adelaide price list.
Visual comparison
How the bottle sizes relate.
C, D, E and G are cylinder size codes rather than simple measurements. In the visual guide, C is the smallest listed general cylinder and G is the largest, with D and E between them.
The appearance, dimensions, weight and gas capacity can vary by cylinder and gas type. Treat the image as a practical comparison only and confirm the exact specification before ordering.
Handling matters: select a cylinder that is appropriate for your expected use, storage space and handling arrangements. Ask us if you are uncertain.
Choosing a bottle
Four factors to consider.
Storage and handling
Consider where the cylinder will be kept and how it will be safely handled before selecting a larger size.
Gas availability
Not every gas is listed in every size. Check the current price table before choosing.
Confirm before ordering: exact dimensions, capacity, weight, compatibility and stock should be confirmed for the selected gas and cylinder.

Size questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is a G cylinder always available?
No. G is currently listed for the Argon range and Oxygen, but not for every gas.
Does the same size code mean identical dimensions for every gas?
Do not assume that it does. Cylinder appearance and exact specifications may vary, so confirm the specific bottle before ordering.
Which size should I buy?
That depends on your gas use, available storage, handling arrangements and the sizes offered for that gas. Call with your application for help narrowing the choice.
Where can I see the price for each size?
The current Adelaide price page lists each available gas and size with both new-cylinder and refill prices.
